The Lyle Presbyterian Church
The Lyle Presbyterian Church celebrated its centennial anniversary in 2012. This webpage was created as part of that celebration. We will try to update as needed.
It is our hope that this page will help you feel more at home in our church. We are a very welcoming, rural congregation made up of teachers, ranchers, oil field workers, and others from Bowman, Rhame, Marmarth, and the surrounding countryside.
Our church is located 15 miles north of Rhame, ND which puts us in a good location for visitors from Medora: the drive to our church is quite scenic. Our location is quite rural and the building itself has been well-maintained, so it still has much of its original charm. We are the only church in the area which does not have running water.
Locals and members refer to us as the "Mound Church" because of our location in Mound Township. Many don't even realize that this is not our actual name. A previous pastor compared coming to this church to Jesus' "Sermon on the Mount" because of the climb to the church.

Services are held every Sunday (weather permitting) at 9:00 am with fellowship and pot luck afterward. New friends and visitors are always welcome.
